DISTRICT-WIDE HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY UPGRADES

GRADE REALIGNMENT

Once the new elementary school is completed, the district will undergo a realignment of its current grade configuration. Students pre-kindergarten through 5th grade would be split between Selman Elementary and the new elementary school, with the current intermediate school and junior high school combining to create one, comprehensive 6th through 8th grade junior high school. The high school will continue to serve grades 9-12. By eliminating the intermediate level and moving 4th and 5th graders into the elementary level, the district will reduce the number of school transitions for students and create needed capacity for 6-8 graders at the junior high school.
